Fun Fact

In 1980, Penny beat the living hell out of a JB Scott's bouncer, after he made fun of the EQ penned song "Peter Is A Slut", dousing his hair with lighter fluid then using him to set fire to his OWN CAR after one of EQ 's shows at JB Scott's.

(nah, not really true, but fact #1 seemed so lame that we felt an urgent need to come up with something that sounded really cool).

I  truly appreciate both the JB Scott's Reunion plug for the Penny Knight Band appearance and, being a Lathams native myself (via Cohoes), for the plug for our fair town. Little known fact ... the town name "Lathams" is derived from the longer Mohawk Indian term "Lathams Ircle".

The Penny Knight Band was once but a cog in the wheel of the mighty multi-national conglomerate, known as Blotto Records, wherein he served, and continues to serve, as El Presidente for life. Please "friend him" on Facebook.

A couple of fun facts come with our next announcement that The Penny Knight Band will be performing at The J.B. Scott's Reunion on May 5, 2012 @ Michael's Banquet House, Latham NY (6pm-Midnight)

Fact #1:
We played JB Scott's and JB's Theatre throughout our entire Capital District history:

Penny Knight Band is one of four bands appearing at the, over 20 years in the making, BLOTTO RECORDS REUNION SHOW on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at Central Park's Music Haven Stage in Schenectady NY.

The veritable BLOTTOPALOOZA features BLOTTO!, The Sharks, The Amazing Rob and John Band and Penny Knight Band ... silly haircuts, parachute pants and/or legwarmers are optional for this "once in a lifetime show".
